Greek Geography
Greek had many natural boundaries affecting them and possible invaders. The Greeks were surrounded by mountains and water most water was seas or oceans with many small islands that some greeks lived on. This confused enemies that were trying to reach Greece and its city-states. The mountains in Greece made it so Greeks couldn't trade inland as easily but invaders coming from the north had a very small chance of getting to Greece going over the mountains. |
